Apple Crumble

Serves 4.


  • 1lb cooking apples
  • 4oz plain flour
  • 2oz butter
  • 2oz sugar
  • Pinch of cinnamon


  • Pie dish


  1. Make the crumble by rubbing the fat into the flour. Add the sugar
    and stir.
  2. Wipe and peel the apple. Remove the core and slice thinnly. Place
    half the apple in the dish and add the cinnamon. Add the rest of the
    apple to the dish.
  3. Cover with the crumble topping and cook for 35 to 45 minutes at
    200°C or until crumble is golden and apple is soft.
